The only reason it got 4 stars is because a screw on the bottom holding a rubber bumper on stripped out early on in the products life

We have had it for three months and have used it to add percussion to church services jam sessions and solo albums recorded at home

What the pictures dont show is that there is a removable metal plate under the snare side so it can be maintained or replaced along with a sound hole under the snare

Also the forward hole has a plastic tube kind of like the sound amplifier that extends into the cajon itself
