Pros
Watercolor and gouache palette is big enough for the paint i needed to paint a 9x11. Has nifty hidden compartment for carrying wet paintings.
The amazon tripod is noticeably light weight, comes with a carrying bag, and looks to be much more stable than the meeden. It has a leveling indicator and small compass for help in setting up.
It reminds me of a chinese puzzle box, move this, twist that, and it opens up.
It's not quite as lightweight as i’d hope but a nice box. The box itself is very light and sturdy as well. It’s very stable and feels sturdy while mixing colors.
It has all the bells and whistles and the price is unbelievable. Quality is good and no complain.
Cons
At least two of the knobs that are used to position the support arms cannot be tightened. Also this easel is humongous and super bulky. The richeson costs a little over $200 without tripod.

The clamp that snaps on to the mounting plate seemed screwed all the way on but was actually not fastened tightly allowing the box to wobble

I admit my first time hooking it up to a tripod i was fearful that it wouldnt hold but it had held out on many trips

It is prone to scuff marks and scratches and the knobs for tightening need a bit of pressure to keep the stand just right

One downside is that the shoulder strap of the carrying case not the box itself broke on my last time taking it back to my apartment from my university so it handled 4 months of regular movement

That being said the case does still have a handle which is just a little bit more inconvenient than being able to sling it over my shoulder
