And the description didnt explain how these can work with both since the connection to control audio is different for the two types of devices

I found out that there is an audio slider on the microphone part of the cable that controls the audio separately from the audio level of the device itself

Note that the end that has 4 rings around the shaft of the plug thats the right angle end on this unit must be inserted into the phone for this feature to work

Volume control is particularly small

The cable is durable and works well the only issue would be that the volume control doesnt directly affect the devices audio its like a third party type of thing
