Pros
The shorter profile is very useful. Use in home theater, stereo, and automotive applications. They're quite intuitive to use.
Mediabridge banana plugs fit firm and were sized to not push out the opposing jack in the wall plate. Looks great on the back of my new receiver with all speaker wires neatly attached now. These are really nice connectors and very easy to install.

I am using 12gauge speaker wire and most fittings are too small to handle this size wire

Anyone can shove wires into an expensive stereo and get good sound

I was careful and double check each connection to make sure nothing would slip

The monoprice ones were frustrating because the bottoms would not screw all the way down to the base seat and pinch the wire because the colored plastic bushings black and red between the screw base and the tip were too thick so they had to be removed making it hard to identify which was the lead and ground wires

You have to strip off the right length of insulation about a quarter inch or so and fold it over the pin and threads to make a good connection

Its a little bit of work but not too terrible

But the twopiece connect should be more than adequate to securing the speaker wire
