Like that computer, this one has a sensor attached to the front fork with cable ties, along with a magnet, to feed back the data on wheel rotations, which is how the bike is programmedthis computer is a big step beyond that in that a strap on monitor worn on the body gives feedback on heart rate throughout back to the handlebar mounted computer.

The magnet and sensor have to be placed very close to each other.
