Very good but sould have a protection for the part of the probe that is not inside the meat so the heat propagated trough the vase of the probe woldnt cause false higher readings

The cord is long enough that you can set it on the counter away from the stoveoven

Works fine only weak point is if you turn it off and maybe set something on it in drawer it runs the risk of turning on the press onoff button on front which of course will kill your batteries just at the moment of using it to check your turkey temp on thanksgiving day with no spare batteries
