Pros

This is about as much as i want to spend on an eyepiece for a casual hobby. This is a keeper, and i have added others to my wishlist. The build quality is exceptional and i now know the difference quality optics can make first hand.

It provides crisp images of the solar surface in this scope. It brign to mi a better view of planets like mars, satur and jupiter. Jupiter's bands, great spot and moons are quite clearly visible, but equatorial adjustment frequent at this width.

Cons

It suffers from having black specs at the focal plane.

I bought a shorter focal length in this lens series and was dismally disappointed with the quality of the lens i received

Id rate it equal to celestron xcel series in quality

Packaging/appearance

The oem packaging was not sealed and the eyepiece was out of the box when it arrived

The eyepiece has to be secured tightly in the focuser to do this
