Pros

It tells where to plug in the leads for each setting.

This meter has all the required settings for the average hobbyist. Large digits. Very good fuse protected meter.

It seems pretty durable, but not as durable as it looks in pictures. Backlight is bright and lcd extremely clear.

For the home-gamer it's definitely good enough. It's the same as the top-tier one sold by harbor freight. For $50 it's an awesome dmm.

Cons

After 1 year it now fails to measure any dc voltage at all even on manual mode with new batteries. The scale light has to be manually turned on. I know that its not waterproof, but i guess humidity got the display fading in a month.

The sound meter is terribly jumpy, leaping up and down by 5db or more several times each second. It is also bulky and hard to read.
