I would be careful putting them in and out non of ours have bent but sometimes things like this bend of kink and then they nolonger open or close

The kids became jedi knight samurais and spent a good 10 minutes waving and hitting the sticks and they didnt fall apart the kids nor the sticks

The sticks are not labeled as heat resistant but they did not get hot to the touch at all
