Also be certain to dry fit everything before gluing, and then check to be certain everything's where it belongs.

Once it is glued if the pieces are crooked the marbles won't run correctly and you will have a very frustrated child.

It has to be put together near perfect or it won't work right at all.

There is a tiny bit of play when connecting most pieces, but this is desirable because it means that there is room for the glue, rather than a force-fit that may scrape off the vast majority of the adhesive.
