Bought mine here at amazon and the serial number on the box was rubbed out meaning i could not register it for warranty

While the plates themselves have not changed the actual socket has changed and is now using pressure on the sides rather than the center

The old peak design adapter for the pro plate only has the center part and does therefore not work with this

They all had rightangle brackets attached which allowed them to turn their camera from portrait to horizontal mode quickly without having to reposition the camera on the tripod

I found that the ball head was of high quality and is very well made however although it is advertised as being compatible with brackets and quick mounting plates that are of the arcaswiss style the very small spring loaded release mechanism of the xpro ball head gets in the way and makes it difficult to actually get my lbracket off the head
