Pros
The sharpness makes up for not having higher power of corded or gas. The extra length blade is just what i need. I have the makita drill set too!
Good tool, good value. Still a great addition to your makita collection. All makita products are very good.
Trimmer is perfect. Cutters are sharp. It seems to be sharper. This trimmer is super sharp and precise.
Cons
This hedge trimmers only job is to cut super small branches and trim hedges. Have to grab the front bar and toggle and hold the thumb safety to get it to work. Good luck reaching the back of a hedge.

I did notice upon closeup inspection that the angle of the blade teeth is much finer and more fragile for fast delicate work compared to my 30 year old plugin bd which has held its edge better

We only have a few specific bushes that require trimming and therefore didn’t want to purchase a heavier duty or gas powered trimmer
