Pros & Cons
Pros
The makita router is a handheld cnc spindle. It is very easy to hold and is well balanced on a piece of flat wood. I read one review which mentioned they had an ogee bit which was slightly too large to use with this router.
Hp full size routers to use with various bases and guides. Comes with a standard base and a plunge base, takes 1/4 shank and 1/2 shank bits. Different depth stop screws that the user can set, a dust shield to allow you to see the cut, and comfortable ... Read More
Cons
Makita is one of my favorite go-to brands but this router will be returned to the store. Seems like product support should be better on a supposedly quality item. I doubt amazon will even post his review, since they seem to favor only watered down bla... Read More

The router is not by any means a new in box, factory-packaged item. The cardboard pieces inside of the box were torn. I am quite sure that makita did not send these routers out of the factory flopping around in their boxes. Imo, the new is lost when t... Read More

The plunge base is great and the depth adjustment on it is magnificent however the height locking lever needs to be tightened very tight for it not to pop back upwards toward the operator
