Pros

I wish someone would come out with a cordless version, especially milwaukee since i have their battery system. Shipped very well and rec'd timely delivery of product as described.

Cuts 2 1/2 inch pressure treated lumber with ease and accuracy. This saw gives adequate depth for all materials i'm likely to cut. Has a blade brake so i can reposition the saw quicker when i'm done.

Its 8 1/4 and is lite and easy to use but what theirs more. It's a pleasure to use, and i highly recommend it to anyone who needs a bigger circular saw than you typically find at home depot or lowes.

Makita saw is like ford, chevy, dodge compared to honda. Much stronger than normal plunge saws and easier to use on and off the track. The only issues i have with the saw is that it kicks dust from the front so if you are sawing looking down you can g... Read More

Too much play in the baseplate. Had to shim it with aluminum tape and even then there still was some play.

They may all get the job done but without the refinement and quality of the japanese brand

Seriously the build quality is top notch feels great in the hand and provides the deepest depth of cut until you step up to a 400 saw
