This is my favorite rod by far, although i am a novice fisherman. Caught a 3# sea trout with it. Just a nice lil catfish. Even though we caught no fish, i'm still happy with the rod and so is the kiddo.

The matte black finish and the gold aluminum looks good. The carbon fiber shaft has a good flex and spring for the length. It's also very lightweight which keeps your pack light.

This pole is great for traveling with. It fits so nice in my backpack. The rod has a handy little cap with a rubber strap to keep the pole sections from expanding when it's not in use.

This rod gets a workout and so far so good. The reel works perfectly. This set is decent, especially the rod. Works out either way as i got gonex and magreels before and they make great product.

The reel foot is made of some polymer/plastic. Heavier than a standard 1 or 2 piece medium action rod of the same length. Its also pretty tough been snagged on the bottom. I love that it is light weight, casts far (10.

The fishing pole feels real flimsy, like it could snap really easy. It's a lightweight and portable fishing pole, but it's extremely cheaply made.
