My 10 year old speed reader is in love with this series - truthfully, i bought book 3 assuming we already had the rest of the series, but when it was discovered that we had somehow missed a rick riordan series, we ordered them the very same night! my 10 year old read the almost 500 page book in less than 4 days and then quickly was on to book 2 - but first he passed book one to his 14 year old brother!
