Pros
This magnet works perfectly on regular paved roads and offroading. The locking mechanism is very sturdy and feels like it can last a very long time.
It clips onto the vent and there is a tightening ring to hold it securely. Fits nice and snug in the vent. Only thing is that you have to really crank the support tight to get it to hold onto an air vent.
Cons
The vent-mounted holder doesn't work on older models like my 2004 gmc envoy. The weight of it all made the vent hang downward, where the iphone on a good bump would probably fall off. Slipping on the magnet and unit would not stay on the fins of my a/... Read More

Great price, isn’t affected by heat in a parked car and minimally takes up space.
Competitiveness
I use several competitors vent attached magnetic mounts and this one is the best so far.
Only thing i found that doesn’t drop iphone in magsafe otterbox.

The phone either gets too hot in the winter or too cold in the summer and of course, it blocks the vent.
