I had tried small dashboardstickon magnet devices like this one in the past but found that either the adhesive on the mount did not adhere adequately to the material that my front dash is covered with andor that the magnetic holder was simply not powerful enough to give me a feeling of security about attaching my beloved iphone to it

A solid steel mount adheres to your dash a very strong magnet is placed and positioned on it once the mounting is firmly set in place about 2 hours and that magnet holds very tightly to a thin metal plate that one simply sticks onto the back of your device or in my case to the back of a thin snapon case

What i found that is not explained with this particular mount is that both the phone and the car mount have to be clean and free of debris in order to maintain a secure hold

I even tried leaving the metal mount secured on the back of my iphone and not only did it look silly but it added bulk and within a week it was falling off due to dust and grime interfering with the adhesion of the back of the phone
