Pros

The pentel energel needle tip is really deep black, dries almost instantly, does not accumulate globs of ink at the tip, and writes like it's on glass. No more fighting for a good pen when signing a receipt at a restaurant.

Made in the usa and machined very well. The machining is excellent and there are almost no matchining marks. Machining finish and thread smoothness are excellent.

If you like a weighty pen, this is the one. It's heavier than a plastic pen, but it's sleek and not bulky. Good weight for pen flipping & finger spinning.

Great value for the price. Just wonderful hand feel and writes beautifully. Fantastic tool. Great pen. Great, well made pen.

Small enough to be pocketable for edc. Pen is for the edc crowd, the pen collector, and anyone looking for a bit of distinction. Not uncommon to pay 3-4 times this much for similar materials and quality.

Cons

Great writing instrument has been reduced to a too-light paperweight. See attached pics of broken pen. Apparently the area where the threads meet the pen body is too thin.

This price is solid works with the g2 pilot own refills and looks amazing

Getting a us made pen like this for this price is great

Packaging/appearance

The packaging for the pen is only a plastic bag which was fine for me since i was not giving it as a gift

However for such a nice pen the packaging was was a bit disappointing being only a ziploc bag

Competitiveness

Edit this pen will fit those energel refills

Didn’t care for the g2 cartridge so i threw in a uniball jetstream
