Ignore the so called instructions as they mean nothing

Hit it once left of the bolt once right of the bolt and then once high of the bolt

After you have done this to the point that the main bolt will not tighten any further the do the clip mounted portion

You want that thing just barely in contact with top of receiver its just for balancing not locking anything down
