I plugged the cord into my phone set the phone onto the selfie stick mount and then turned the camera app on

I showed it to my teenaged son and he hooked it up the same as me but figured out why it wasn’t working

You don’t just set the phone onto the ledge you have to also pull down the top part to hold it into place

Then take and set one side of your phone onto the bottom ledge so that the end of your phone with the port for the audio jack is positioned nearest to the jack on the selfie stick
