Overall seems to be well made and cleanly machined. The secret is that you need a rubber gasket placed in the bottom of the cap, like a hose washer, that will seal against the end of the fitting.

But to make the seal waterproof a rubber seal is needed and the ones i used were 00 12 flat washers from danco part number 88569

Add the right o ring to make them seal and do not crank them too tight

I misread the title and thought it would be the correct thread for the old style automotive r12 refrigerant fitting

Compression fittings do not seal on the threads so you do not use teflon tape or pipe dope on the threads
