I've been doing my long runs with a knockoff camel pack (kistar brand, available on amazon, low quality but does the job for the price), but with my first marathon in a few weeks i realized i needed something that had front access (i was losing time taking the backpack off and putting it back on again, which i knew would be way too frustrating during a race).

Update:i said above that i hadn't used the vest in hot weather or distance.

It's light, carries water in the front pocked and in the back with room for gels, hotel card, small tan tan tube and phone.

Take you time getting it adjusted to fit you, i found that adjusting the sides, then the front straps (bottom one first) did best, but maybe different if you are a guy and dont have breasts to work around.

Its a nice back up to have, but its not very convenient for running.
