Pros & Cons
Pros
It makes compressing the caliper simple and easy. Makes it a very quick job. Makes the job much easier.
Cons
It's easier to handle than the other type of the tool that goes through the bracket arm opposite to caliper, but what’s the point if it cannot be placed into the bracket even when fully retracted. This item is borderline useless.

Gotten the job done several times however it required some finessing to get the “expander pads” to retract back

You have to put outer pressure on them to catch the threads so they start retracting back if that makes sense i usually do this by clamping them inward with one hand while cranking with the other
