Failure to do so could result in the mop not being all the way down on the key pin and starting to spin as you apply pressure to fully seat it

This will result in the eventual stripping of the key pin on the spin basket and you wont be able to properly spin the mop

I emailed them about the problem after dismantling the bucket to see if it could be fixed

They informed me that they did not have a replacement part for the basket but instead provided a refund which allowed me to purchase a new one

If you have to do a lot of mopping and dont want to spend all day doing it this might work for you
