The only drawback is it doesn’t work if you have one of those large break proof cases for your phone as the magnet isn’t strong enough to power through several millimeters of hard plastic or rubber

For ultimate discretion i even found a garmin style mounting cord that fits their older units i use that can be hardwired into the dash wiring instead of using the cigarette lighter so the gps power cord can now be tucked under the side pillar with only a couple of inches of visible cord coming out from the front of the headliner

I have owned this since april 2017 the unit performed very well until it fell off the the dash
