Even though this product is a backup sump pump the option to purchase expert installation generates an order for a sump pump replacement which is not what this installation requires

The installation of a backup sump pump requires the addition of the sj10 to an existing sump pump installation which according to the installer that showed up is considered to be a full sump pump installation not replacement that ran approximately 4x amazons quoted price in my case even though i already had a battery powered backup installed

The distance we ran the fresh water was quite a distance so i think the cost of supplies alone were 200

We didn’t test it the first time and after screwing around with the pump with installation we had to readjust so everything worked correctly

This means the install is very tight once you get a small fresh water and waste water installed

I do question the installation instruction that says trip float should be installed a full 1 foot above primary pump trip point

The install is pretty straightforward
