In very heavy rain water will eventually seep in at the top seal

The top opening is very large to accommodate thick legs and heavy clothing but the top closure drawcord was difficult to cinch up the top due to the resistance of the material to compressing

The other thing to watch out for is the strap that goes under the arch of the boot

If thats a problem then use the back zipper to ventilate with the top still cinched off

They stay right where they belong and dont need to be tied under the boot

The only reason i gave them a 4 instead of 5 is the shoe string that wraps under the sole of the boot
