The quality is really good and i havent had any issues
My old player would not function properly with the catalina upgrade this one works perfect
Slightly flimsier build quality i guess but with its light weight it seems fine

Not all dvd drives will work with mdiscs the archival longlife discs but this is one that works well
After struggling with an offbrand dvd drive i ordered this lg model for my macbook air
We have used the hp version of this but mine broke and just bought this lg one used successfully on a new supermicro server

It wasnt working the first time when i put a dvd in because it kept asking me to change the region but it wont let me no matter what regions i changed to

Therefore in the third case i will have to open the vlc player and open the filedvd from there and it worked at the end

Was crucial for new install of windows 10 as the pc did not have a functioning internal drive

System recognized the drive instantly and booted from windows 10 disc i had burned with the very same drive on a different computer
