You must make sure that you if have avixvid which seems to play without issues for videos at the following specs saved as 25 fps and audio sampling frequency must be 48000hz or 48khz nothing less nothing more

I had an issue with my dvd usb player but found out that for the usb and dvd to play avi filed especially xvid and that the audio sampling is not right it will give you the message video not support

That does not mean that the video is not supported but its because of the audio sampling rate

If you have video saved either burn to a dvd ntsc format for dvd xvid mpeg1 mpegs but the audio must be only sampling at 48000hz or 47khz

So you mau need special video burning software to convert to the xvid standard avi and audio output as 48000hz
