The purchase of the lg 55sk8000 was made with the knowledge that local dimming was very poor because it was implemented in 5 sections vertically across the screen

To be honest ive seen other tvs with array local dimming and for my opinion its not worth it

So back to the lg 55sk8000 when we setup the tv we simply turned off local dimming on all the modes
