I have had to remove wires that were locked, and unclipping the hinged clamp from the tab was quite difficult, so there could have been a defect in the units that were sent to the people who had issues with the hinge slipping out.

You flip a piece and put the wire in, then screw it tight.

When you're putting the wires in, do not close the contacts first.

Once you insert the stripped wires in place, then flip the contact on top and push hard to get the top clip to seat, then screw it on.

Ended up drilling a wider hole since the base needs at least one inch away from the wall.
