I wouldnt say this usb fan is silent it definitely makes a little noise but nothing too distracting or loud enough that it should bother you if you are listening to music or talking on the phone or something

You can hear the fan noise get louder on medium but i am sure by the time you are hot enough to need medium speed that the droning noise wont matter by then

I have yet to meet a fan with blades that is super silent so good luck and keep that in consideration when you hear the humming noise
