Rather than the complaint that the split screen ruins cooperative play its a brilliant move forward as all previous versions meant that one character moving too far from the other could drag you along with them and make you die if you then fell off a platform now you can move around with complete freedom knowing that youre not going to accidentally kill your partner

Click onto an unlocked crate level and you get another view that shows your progress for that particular episode telling you how far youve got how many chapters still need to be discovered and completed what characters and vehicles youve earned how many coloured cheat bricks youve found and how many bonus treasure chests youve earned
