I write this off to a cheap product made in china with little quality control in the factory for someone to make such a simple oversight

Did have one problem with one strand only after it had been installed a few weeks the segments inside the protective plastic are connected by a hole punched through the waterproofing to connect the inner sections after a good rain the and w on one section lost connection had to scrap back the tape and solder those two could be from heatcold expansion

The raspberry pi can only directly generate lowpower 3v3 logic signals which are wildly inappropriate for directly driving led strips

Each 10m strip was separated by about 5 meters of wire so the leds at the end werent as bright and the colors were off

When wiring it up just note that the rgb labels might be in the wrong order as compared to the wire you are running it doesnt matter as long as you match the input color with the output color so if the green wire goes into the red input slot just make sure the red output slot has the green wire coming out of it
