Ive not used it for miniature painting yet like i intend but the magnification should work well for that or other detail oriented work

The problem is when you loosen the screw the 2 pieces of metal that work together to clamp against the pin on the lap head separate and slide apart

I found it really difficult to get them lined back up and at the same time slide the pin into them and then tighten it
