One thing that fooled me at first is that i was waiting for a ready light like my previous laminator but it is not a light it is a dot that changes colour from dark to bright red

Yes the ready indicator is clearly not a red light and is rather along the lines of a chemical reaction that triggers the sensor to emit red but it is fairly obvious when it is ready

The device takes 35 minutes to heat up and then about 10 seconds to pass through 8 x 11 paper and a few more for 11 x 17

The free laminating pouches that they give you are 3mil and because of that feel flimsy

One of the pouches went in but never came out it curled around inside the laminator

This was a big problem as i had to throw out what i laminated as it crumpled and tore when trying to remove it from the laminator
