I found the watch good for receiving texts in that it can be used to accept messages which are also on your phone you can quickly glance at message and see if it needs to be answered immediately or read later on your phone

The phone can also vibrate to indicate you have received a phone call which is handy if your phone is in your handbag or someplace where it isn’t audible such as in a noisy environment
