It is sturdy. Very sturdy and works with house keys. Several family members use the golf cart.
This feature is very convenient and useful.
Works great, just as advertised. Only complaint is i wish they made a model that was even longer. Great customer service.
The lock seems sturdy and it has a smooth motion. The lock opens very smoothly with the key. It is more secure than most other standard padlocks, as the shackle is thicker than usual.

These locks are the usual great kwikset quality as well they can be keyed easily
Locks are good quality and very good price considering the rekeying ability
However even with the failure i would recommend
Note the rekeying process is slightly different than for a kwikset door lock

Were moving out of the place so were going to rekey it to our new front door key once were moved in
Competitiveness
It takes only about 30 seconds to get them set to match your house key assuming you have a kwikset lockkey already
Im very glad i bought this instead of one of those crummy masterlock devices

However you have to have the key in it to leave it open which is annoying as it is on my lawn shed that i dont want to lock when i am spending the day working on the yard and dont want to leave my car keys dangling there

The shackle just barely fits through the hole a standard gate latch though it does fit

If you have never rekeyed a padlock before read the instructions completely and thoroughly before attempting you may also want to visit a neighborhood locksmith before attempting

The seller provide me with a lock with wrong key and no tool to rekey

It is key retaining so you have to lock it to remove the key so it takes the key to put it back on the hasp to rock the shed
