Pros
It can be used to make two poached eggs.
This makes perfect eggs. Perfect for making deviled eggs too. As a bonus, it has an audible signal when the eggs are done.

Oh salton, please get back into the market. What a bummer this product is. I hope it's because it is defective.
The smell and flavor of the steamed eggs, compared to the traditional boiled eggs is different, and i don’t like it. I also feel like i have less control over the yolk color with this one. Our dislike is the taste of the poached egg.
As the water boils off, a very loud awful buzzer sounds and keeps sounding. The sound is so horrifying, it makes you want to scream in horror while hurling the egg cooker against the wall, smashing it to bits.
Really disappointed with this piece of junk. Well, it's silly.

Storage becomes an issue and having a singlepurpose item comes under automatic close scrutiny

Drop the hardboiled eggs into icewater for about thirty seconds before peeling they dont peel as easily if they chill for too long

We lost our measuring cup with the piercing pin and krups does not have them anymore and i could not find it on ebay or amazon

Husband loves it and uses it almost every day to make soft boiled or hard boiled eggs and it shuts off automatically
