The acer at first had a ton of wholehalf screen flickering

I manually set the acer to autodetect again and the flickering went away

As a 1440p monitor the acer has to downscale to match the imacs 1920x1080 resolution

Macbooks do not work when directly connected to a tv with an hdmi cable

I had to plug it in a few times as the connector from my 2009 macbook had some oxidation on the connector since it had never been used but it worked fine after a few plug ins

I am not sure why there is a docking station for it because the graphics is flaky
