    I had a crappy course stone that i bought from an asian market for 5 bucks, but it was so bowed i thought it was time to upgrade.

    Make sure to flatten this stone often because the softer stones wear fast and they don't work well if they aren't flat.

    It takes some practice but you get a really good edge even on the cheap knives, they just won't stay sharp as long as the good ones.

    Comes with no instructions but i would recommend going to youtube for guidance on how to use the product.
