I had a crappy course stone that i bought from an asian market for 5 bucks but it was so bowed i thought it was time to upgrade

Make sure to flatten this stone often because the softer stones wear fast and they dont work well if they arent flat

It takes some practice but you get a really good edge even on the cheap knives they just wont stay sharp as long as the good ones
