I would like to be able to keep this adapter in my ipod at all times because its very easy to lose otherwise but i cannot otherwise it kills my battery by turning my ipod on and forcing it to play music

As a side note it worked immediately with an older pioneer bluetooth head unit in another car as well as my nakamichi sound bar and my aiwa exos9 boombox though the latter wont play louder than the ipod will go which is strange
