Highlights
Quality
I had no expectations so i think this ratcheting crimper works well
With the klein ratcheting crimper i get a perfect crimp every time with this simple easy to use crimper
Have several from other manufacturers none come close to klein for quality
Price
This crimping tool works well and is sold at a good price
Packaging/appearance
Dirt or debris in the ratchet mechanism can cause a ratcheting failure
Competitiveness
I used these to connect rj45 onto cat6a cable
My only complains are the cuttersjacket stripers are almost usable on cat6 cables
They do work albeit its a tight fit with cat5e cables
Has lable pattern of rj 45 n 11 on it

The ratchet is not supposed to release until you complete the full stroke thus assuring that you have fully crimped the connector

From some comments that ive heard im guessing that some people think that the ratcheting action is supposed to occur continuously along the entire full travel of the crimping stroke which by design is not the case

Again it is only supposed to start ratcheting near the end of the crimping stroke

It isnt as though it poses a high level of danger once unlocked

The only part id say is on par with the cheaper versions and probably all others is the crimping because well they all crimp the same
