The pour spout is nice for when you get to the last bit of your mixture and need to pour. The bail makes it easy to carry from hive to hive and the spout and handle makes it very easy to fill the feeders.

Excellent pot. This pot has my full adoration. If you are a canner, this is a great pot.

Don't use abrasives on it and don't hike up the flames like you're cooking over a campfire. This works fine on my current electric stove, but i see it causing a problem with hot spots after i switch to gas after a planned remodel.

Please look at the pics for the proof of it's flaw. The reason i was willing to pay that price for a jam pan is the measurement markings.
