It has an auto shut off, and one session lasts not more than 15 minutes.

Does not turn off so when you're out of steam make sure you turn it off or it will just keep heating.

Only bad thing is that it does leak a the bottom a tiny bit but that's normal it says it on the instructions that it might happen.
