Its a bit bulky for carrying in a backpack while overnight hiking but it is such a treat to have a more or less fullsize chair to sit on
Other scouts had the really high end but much shorter chairs and ours were just as good for less than half the cost
I purchased this chair to round out our familys collection of foldup hiking chairs
And half the cost of another brand

Note if you set it up fully on a hill it will be nearly impossible to sit in since the chair part you sit in is rather small and doesnt sit as far out under your thighs as a normal chair

I would not recoment getting a chair like this for a child under 10 or 12 because i think it would be too hard for them to assemble

Frustrating at firsti was about ready to pack it up and send it back especially after the video offered no suggestions as to put it togetherthe time lapse skipped the annoyance of attaching to the bottom portion

The weakest part is the bag the loops really arent functional for attaching to a backpack and the bag has already torn
