These are decent binoculars for the money. Only thing is you need to really line up your line of sight through the view finder or you’ll just see black or a crescent moon type of effect. My 5yr old keeps complaining he sees black, but he just isn’t lining up his field of view properly. But when he uses my larger binoculars with a larger field of view, he can see just fine. Only other gripe is that we bought two pairs of these: one blue for my son and one purple for my daughter. The purple pair came with a black carrying case with a cool purple carabiner. However, the blue pair must have been an older carrying case, as it did not have a loop with a matching carabiner. This might not seem like a big deal, but when you’re trying to buy your kids the same thing so they don’t fight over who’s is better, it sort of defeats the purpose. One had a carabiner, the other doesn’t (insert eye roll).  Read Less
