Pros
Removing the paper piece allows the battery to make metal contact at both ends. Set the dip switches the same as your old remote. Use a pin or a very small nail to move these back or forth.
Just ordered this. Matched it with the original remote that was provided from my complex. Also tried the grey version of this one. The grey is dependable but at less distance.
Cons
Worked for 3 weeks and stopped working. Only works occasionally, as the battery won't stay in place. No option for refund or exchange as advertised. Stopped working after 3 years.
Don't buy this piece of junk. Terrible design. Despite that, this product *. Don't waste your $12.

Super easy but the screw waspretty stiff when trying to unscrew the back

I have only had one opener where the individual switch kept moving out of place

You do need a very small screwdriver to remove the screw and then another very small object like a butter knife to pry open the case once the screw is out

I did not program it but my bldg porter said it was real simple
