This is a generic adapter so while its possible that some seller could be shipping a different bad adapterit directly connects a few of the pins on either side and would need to be pretty shoddy to not work properly its likely that most of the other bad reviews did not have a keyboard that implemented ps2 support

I suspect that most current users dont require it and its an added development cost

If your keyboard mouse didnt come with a female usb to male ps2 adapter do yourself a favor and do some googling or find the manual to see if its compatible before you purchase this adapter
